Introduction

Vodafone Smart Router allows you to control, customize, and manage your home internet by accessing the advanced features of your Smart Router in a simple, fast, and convenient way from anywhere.

Responsibilities

During my time working on the Vodafone Smart Router app, I contributed to enhancing both security and device compatibility features to improve user experience and system reliability. One of my key responsibilities was the integration of a reCAPTCHA feature to strengthen the authentication process. This was implemented to protect the application against automated bots and unauthorized access attempts. It ensured that only real users could perform sensitive actions such as login or router configuration changes, thereby improving overall network security. Additionally, I was responsible for adding support for a newly introduced router model at the time. This involved updating the app’s compatibility layer to recognize and communicate with the new hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing features such as Wi-Fi management, device control, and guest network setup. I also participated in testing and validation to confirm stable performance across both legacy and new router versions.
